The nicest voice in comedy. Brian Atkinson is a comedian who played a serial killer on TV while doing voices for PBS Kids. This guy-next-door with a radio voice talks about his career in broadcasting, voiceover, and being adopted twice, with twisted observations of everyday life. Brian is an award-winning comedian: Best of The Bash 2022-2023, World Series of Comedy 2023 and 2025 Wildcard 1st Place Winner and 2023-2025 Top 40 Comic. Brian is so funny, you might not notice he’s working clean.

Join us for a hilarious night of clean comedy to support Loving Kay Refij, a non-profit serving widows and orphans in Haiti. Enjoy side-splitting laughs from some of West Michigan’s top comedians while raising funds for their important work. It’s a great night of comedy for ages 13+, filled with joy, connection, and inspiration.

Joe Lane – Host
Joe Lane is the Senior Pastor/Founder at New Life Christian Center of Muskegon. He’s a former Teacher/Assistant Principal at Reeths-Puffer Schools, and Orchard View Schools. Joe is a talented musician and has performed comedy all around West Michigan. Joe recently debuted at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City.
Rick Vuyst – Feature
Rick Vuyst is a self-made “Entre-manure” willing to get his hands dirty and put himself out there like the fledgling spring blooms in a late spring frost. Rick is CEO of Flowerland stores Grand Rapids Michigan with 3 garden centers serving the West Michigan area. Rick is host of the Flowerland show on NewsRadio WOOD 1300 and 106.9 FM and nationally on IHeart radio as “Phil Dirt” “heducating” and entertaining audiences for 25 years. Rick has also been the “Mr Green Thumb” for WZZM TV 13 the West Michigan ABC television affiliate for over 20 years. Rick is a writer for Women’s Lifestyle Magazine and a blogger on his personal site thankyouverymulch.com. In addition to gardening Rick is a health enthusiast, avid runner and loves photography on the Lake Michigan shoreline and in the garden where he lives in West Michigan.
Terri DeBoer – Feature
Terri DeBoer has only recently started performing standup comedy, and less-recently “un-retired” from her more than 30 years at WOOD TV8 and is excited to be the newest member of the Fox 17 weather team. After spending a little more than a year away from broadcasting, Terri realized something was missing from her life. Terri’s primary shift is West Michigan’s “wake up” weather Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.
Matt Sharpe – Feature
Drawing from his training and experience as a licensed psychotherapist, a comedian, and a former bodyguard, Matt delivers humor-infused, practically transformative talks and training. Matthew Sharpe, LLPC is a licensed therapist providing counseling in Muskegon and the surrounding West Michigan area. He specializes in family counseling, career counseling, psychotherapy, spiritual direction, life coaching and consulting, and seminars and training. Laughter is healing!

He’s opened for notable “Bobs” like Bob Nelson, Bob Smiley, and Robert (Bob) G. Lee, and performed at Dr. Grins at the B.O.B. Brian has also opened for Jeff Jena, Kira Soltanovich, Michael Palascak, Adam Minnick, Happy Cole, Leslie Norris Townsend, Tommy Ryman, Chris Young, Andy Beningo, and Dave Williamson.
Brian’s appearances include Bonkerz, Comedy Cabaret, Crackers, Dr. Grins, Funny Stop, Gutty’s, Krackpots, L.A.
