Hard G Comedy – Jason Gilleran and Robyn Gilleran

Jason Gilleran debuted on Detroit’s thriving comedy scene in 2017. Along with his stand up comedienne wife Robyn, they are Hard G Comedy, and run The “Classy” Comics show at Aqua in Plymouth, as well as “Thumbthing Funny” in Caseville and “Laughing All the Way to the Bank” in Port Austin. He is a regular at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle and One Night Stan’s and has featured for John Heffron at the Traverse City Comedy Club and performed in the 2023 Traverse City Comedy Fest. His 20 years of experience as a Urologist (aka “the Dick Doc”) means he’s seen a few things. Things he can’t unsee. Jason brings a fast pace, almost absurdist view of the things he finds funny, like bad food, good music, and an ongoing mid life crisis as a Gen X husband and father. And yes, there are dick jokes.

Robyn Gilleran is a comedian based in Detroit and is the better (looking) half of Hard G Comedy with her husband Jason. This former fat kid and current actor/model is the mother of teenage boys and has a lot to say about growing up, motherhood and life in general. She has performed on stages across the US including Zanies Chicago, Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle, One Night Stan’s Comedy Club, The Detroit House of Comedy, Traverse City Comedy Club and Funny Farm, as well as Gildas Laughfest, The Travese City Comedy Fest and the Detroit Women in Comedy Festival. She’s sure to catch you off guard and teach you to never judge a book by her cover.

Park Theatre Holland, MI

The Park Theatre Foundation provides West Michigan communities with entertainment and culture while empowering artists, championing self-expression, and preserving the historic Park Theatre. With a rich history dating back to 1886, the Park Theatre has been a cherished venue for generations of movie-goers and community events. Originally built as a woodworking mill and feed store, it later became the Colonial Theater. Destroyed in a fire and rebuilt, it reopened as the Park Theatre in 1936. For over six decades, the Park Theatre thrived as a beloved cultural hub, eventually closing in 1984. In December of 2001, the Park Theatre Foundation, a newly created nonprofit organization, took over ownership of the building, and a new chapter began.

Today, the Park Theatre has been lovingly restored and transformed into a flexible, multi-use venue that serves as a vibrant cultural center for the downtown Holland community. Collaborating with diverse segments of the community, the Park Theatre has hosted a wide range of events, from concerts and receptions to comedy troupes and dinner/theater productions. Nonprofit fundraisers, reunions, and birthday parties have also found a home at the Park Theatre, and the theater has been a sought-after space for festivals such as Tulip Time, Tulipanes, and various art fairs, providing a unique and captivating backdrop for showcasing local talent.
